SS316 sparkler (plate) filters with perforated filter plates and vacuum/pressure nozzle connections, used for cake filtration, washing and clarification of crystalline products. Their stacked-plate design packs a large filtration area into a relatively small footprint, making them a practical choice where floor space around the filtration stage is limited.
How It Works
A stack of horizontal filter plates, each faced with filter cloth, sits inside a closed pressure vessel. Slurry is pumped through under pressure, depositing cake on each plate, which gives a large filtration area in a compact footprint. This makes the sparkler filter well suited to polishing and clarifying batches as well as recovering solid cake, particularly where a fine, uniform filtrate is required downstream.
